| Last night I had occasion to stay with you, and I am writing to say how the experience was excellent, much better than I had expected, the quality of accommodation, the service and the attention to detail was first class. I asked at reception who owned the business and was advised that it was a family business, this was so evident, the commitment and atmosphere was just the right recipe. I wish you every success in your business I am sure you will be successful.
Well done.

| Stayed in new double rooms in basement, rooms were great and exceeded our expectations. Only small thing is that the quilt was extremely thick for the summer weather.
Thank you for the great service

| Friendly, comfortable stay in town
The stay was comfortable, welcoming and very convenient for all the town's amenities. The room was excellent even though it faces and overlooked a busy main road, noise levels were certainly acceptable and not disrupting during the evening.
A relaxing stay. |

| Very nice family run hotel, the rooms are very clean, the sheets, towels and rooms are cleaned everyday . Its within easy walking distance of the town centre and train station. The grounds/gardens are very well kept, and because of the sun we were able to use them. Breakfast was lovely. The ONLY thing i would advise if your staying here is to maybe take your own bath towel, although they are provided , they are quite small. This was a visit to see my family and i will be staying here for future trips. Great value for money :) |

| A very good bargain
The hotel was a really lovely place to stay when we were attending a wedding in the local area. The room was very clean and a more than adequate size for our needs. The staff were very friendly and always available if we needed their help. The breakfast was a very good size and had enough of a selection. Very satisfied customers! |

| Stay at this Hotel!
We could not fault this hotel, staff only too willing to open bar whenever we wanted them to, even though we were the only ones there until later, (snow was really bad that day) cook for us whenever we wanted, food not on that Sunday due to weather, and chef not there etc.
The standard of cleanliness in the hotel was second to none, fresh paint, fresh linen, meal room spotless, the only fault was that the shower leaked onto the bathroom floor and the shower head was repaired with duct tape, temporary fix I hope! But still useable.
It was cold when we arrived, but the heating put on at once.
Food was excellent, good choices. Breakfast also excellent with many choices.
Check out not until 11 a.m. but we wer not hurried in any way, usually housekeeping loom at you when you stay at Travelodge type hotels.
As we were there, sadly, for a funeral locally, it was not a pleasant occasion, but we felt really looked after and chilled out to start that day.
Plan on staying there again when we visit family |

| we needed to stay near sherwood pines forestry site for a mountain bike race and the mansfield lodge came up on a search. only 15 mins from race site, off road parking, clean comfortable room, fab shower, good breakfast and the evening meal was excellent both quality and value for money. the photos on the web site don't do the hotel justice.
definitely stay here again. |

| Stayed here two nights to visit family, this is a very clean hotel (rooms, sheets and towels changed after only one night). Friendly staff. Quite area of mansfield , but walking distance into town and train station. Breakfast was lovely, and the hotel gardens were lovely too . I will be using this lovely hotel again in the future ! |

| Stayed here for 5 nights over two weeks while on business in Mansfield. Absolutely recommend this hotel. First of all looks can be deceptive and on driving into the car park I thought it looked a wee bit like Fawlty Towers. HOWEVER, as I say looks can be deceptive. This family run hotel is amazing value for money. The two bedrooms I slept in were spacious and very clean. The bedlinen was crisp and clean. The Hotel was lovely and warm and cosy. I recommend you try the dinner menu at night. I have stayed in many Hotels with more stars than this but the food here is great. Home cooked but professionally cooked! The Steak Pie and the Lasagne being my favourites. I just wish there were more Hotels like this in the UK. Last but not least FREE Internet service.

| Attending a dinner event at a venue you have not visited before
is viewed with apprehension, so my visit, with my wife Anita, to the
Mansfield Lodge Hotel to attend the Abacus Lighting Central Midlands
Football League Management Committee Annual Dinner and to stay the
night, I viewed with some trepidation.
Immediately on arriving at the venue, theses fears began to disappear,
the greeting we had at the reception desk was warm and friendly, which
continued throughout our stay.
The room we where allocated was pleasant, clean and spacious, all the
mod cons where in the room, tea, TV etc, and we both found the bed
extremely
restful.
The dinner and breakfast the following morning, was a credit to the
chef and the
service ensured in making the event one to remember.
The hotel has ample car park facilities, very close to the town centre
and an ideal
place to stay, whether you are going to an event or carrying out
business in the area.
I have pleasure in recommending the hotel to people visit Mansfield
for whatever reason.

| The hotel is a friendly, welcoming place. It is situated really close to the town centre and meant I could walk the 5 minutes into the town the next day.The room was nice and spacious and there was hardly any noise from the traffic outside even with it being on the main road. The free Wi-fi was great |

| Thank you for a very enjoyable stay. Excellent friendly staff and a spotlessly clean room ensures that I will definitely stay again if i'm in the area. The home cooked food is superb and can compete with the best. Kind wishes for the future. |

| Lovely, clean, well-decorated hotel. Mum and I had a room each. Breakfast was lovely, well-cooked, not greasy. Staff friendly. Short stay, but enough to know to recommend to others. |

| My wife & I have stayed at this facility many times over the last several years and Janette & Phil run a really great place. Now with the addition of their
son Darren (The Chef) and all the improvements we have watched occur over these past few years, it is a great pace to stay and NOW also partake of
other meals. We sampled the “Chef’s” culinary talents last year (2008) when we entertained our British relatives to a sumptuous meal suggested and prepared by Darren & his staff. We whole heartily recommend “The Mansfield Lodge Hotel” (formerly the Parkhurst Guesthouse) as a very comfortable, clean and friendly place to stay. Our relatives are from this area and this is the only place we would choice to stay!!!! |
